Guess what? It's time for another titlecard dump! Featuring various D&D adventures both I and my friends in toonkind have ran. (Also shout out to @1nkbl0ts for collaborating with me for the art of the titlecard in At it's Core!)

...Anyway, I created a Userscript for the Chrome/Firefox Stylus Extension that reverts the new dashboard to the old format. This took a lot of tweaking and it's not perfect at all, but if anyone wants it I'll be uploading it soonish now!

You need to have Stylus installed. So if you don't have it:

  • Install the Stylus Firefox Addon or the Chrome Extension
  • Once it's installed into Firefox/Chrome you can proceed with adding this style or any other.

To add the style, follow the instructions:

  1. Go to this link: https://userstyles.world/style/11286/old-tumblr-dashboard-july-2023
  2. Click on "install".
  3. Style will open a tag with it and in the left side you'll have a button that says "install style", click there.
(Step-by-step copied from the lovely dorothyoz39 who wrote this in a reply!)

If you don't want the sticky header you can remove the labelled script at the top of the css below /* Sticky Header*/

Be sure to check for updates, I'm fixing things as I go! To update click the Manage button on Stylus and click the check for update button below! If you experience any bugs let me know - feel free to edit it yourself as well! P.S. Works just fine alongside Xkit!

what the fuck

A screenshot of a Twitter thread from user alanaauston saying, "um? I assumed those commercials used water because they couldn't show blood but it's really because no one... thought to test actual blood?" Theres a screen shot from a TikTok video attached.ALT
A screen shot from a TikTok from an unmentioned user. It has a long haired person in the background and in the foreground is a text in white with black borders saying, "Me explaining to people that the first study where scientists actually tested the absorbency of period products using BLOOD and not water was only published on Monday this week -and unsurprisingly it's shown that products aren't as absorbent as their labels say which drastically impacts how doctors have been diagnosing heavy bleeding"ALT
A different screen shot from Twitter, this from Twitter user JasmineAGolphin in response to user alanaaustin's first tweet, saying, "Absolutely no shape to op but I didn't fully believe this absolute fuckery so I not only read the article but I read the abstract and then then downloaded the pdf of the study itself and y'all (line break) Y'all (another line break) They were using saline and water." There's an attached image of a block of text.ALT
The text image that user JasmineAGolphin uploaded from the study in question. It's black text on a white background that says, "This clinical evaluation has become more challenging with the availability of a wide range of alternative menstrual hygiene products. The current validated clinical tool routinely used to assess menstrual blood loss is the Pictorial Blood Loss Assessment Chart (PBAC). The PBAC is based on saturation of menstrual pads and tampons; newer menstrual hygiene products have yet to be integrated into the PBAC. To complicate matters, no industry standard exists for capacity testing of mentrual products except for tampons due to their historical link between absorbency and the risk of toxic shock syndrome. (3) Individual manufacturers may report collection capacity of their product using a liquid such as saline or water which is not equivalent to menstrual blood. Menstrual blood not only contains blood but is also composed of vaginal secretions and endometrial cells. (4) Individuals with HMB may also experience rapid blood loss (flooding) or pass clots which can further challenge the absorption of some products and lead to leaking."ALT

hey, hi, I was just on the former bird app and came across this info from a brand new study and now I cannot stop screaming internally??? what the actual fuckkkk

theres' an article from the guardian here and here is the actual study:

TLDR: New study is good. New study uses expired donated blood to test the absorbency of menstrual products. New study also tests comparatively newer products like discs and cups, which the current validated medical assessment tool has yet to integrate, likely due to a simple lack of data.

Old studies exist for tampons and pads–however none of them used blood. Old studies used saline or water, which have a very different consistency than blood, and may not accurately indicate actual absorbency of menstrual blood.

People in these posts are upset to find out that the old studies did not use blood to test menstrual products, and that it took until now for a study to consider something so important.

It is good that this new study used blood instead of water, and I personally hope to see more of its kind in the future! :D

Dr 2B!

oh yeah uh im on artfight this year hi

https://artfight.net/~BlueOatmeal

Hint: two of these are false, but not in the way you think!

Results: the two false statements are Super Smash Bros is Real and Uncanny Valley Hell!

The Kilton and Jevil expies ARE dating in the spin-off Bash server, but Bash is distinct from Toonkind! Has its own universe.

The Unkani Valley is an underground cave system and overground canyon system full of magic and inspiration that's just a bit more unusual than what you usually see in Einquell. Toons don't have a designated hell for criminals.

Thank you for voting!!

A slightly worse version of getting a song stuck in your head is getting a dance stuck in your head. Especially when the dance style is Irish where we do not have a consistent vocabulary for different movements and rely on onomatopoeia like stamp/bang/dah-DAH/diddle-lee-dah/etc to do a lot of the heavy lifting

Opposite of "came back wrong" is "stayed exactly the same." Oh you want so badly to pretend that you have changed. You changed your face, you changed your name, you started leaning into a whole new role, but I know you. I know you. I know who you used to be, and I can see that person shining through you still. You can fool the world you can fool your friends you can fool yourself but you will not fool me.

Some more D&D squad emojis!! Featuring characters belonging to @blazedrgn, @marzibird, @hug-monster, @blueoatmeal.

A large collection of art I made for a fun series of Toonkind D&D games that I ran!  (Featuring many NPCs, and of course the all-important PCs!)

Featuring Characters from my super awesome players!

Elli Gelbbert (Played by the amazing @blazedrgn!)

Leo / Phantom L (Played by the stupendous @marzibird!)

Yuto / White Rabbit (Played by the marvelous @hug-monster)

The Professor (Played by the terrific @blueoatmeal )

I have a few more drawings under the cut, all done traditionally!

SEMIFINAL: The Little Engine that Could vs The Taffy Train from toonkind DND

[ID: a watercolour illustration from the book "The Little Engine That Could". The little engine that could is coming over the top of a grassy hill, with the sun behind her. She is a blue 4-2-4T with gold lining, a black cow catcher, and a large balloon funnel, where her face is. A happy clown is sitting on the roof of her cab. She pulls a train made up of several colourful cars, with a red caboose at the end. Toys and animals can be seen in some of her cars, including an elephant, a dolly, and two giraffes. Everyone in the picture is smiling.]ALT
[ID: A 3d model of the engine pulling the taffy train, from toonkind DND. It has a tender shaped like a bubblegum machine, with a big glass bubble full of candy on top. The locomotive is organically shaped in a dr-seussian way, and instead of smoke or steam, the funnel is expelling puffs of pink cotton candy.]ALT
